As this has been going on for a while and other celebrities have been trying to change it, maybe all of them can get together and with jo helping as well, really get it done.

I mean I love JK to pieces, but I mean this situation in Darfur has been going on for awhile now and all she can come up with is a letter. Yeah its nice that she is giving some face time on the issue, but its been going on long enough for people who wanted to know about it know about it. I mean there are headlines every single day about a new conflict in Africa.

I mean Angelina Jolie saw a problem and she steeped up to the plate and took action, she is now an ambassador for the UN, she has been invited to the White House(in the USA's capital) to speak on several occasions, and she gets in the trenches and helps out.

i mean a letter is nice and its cute and its sweet, but its not going to change anything, tomorrow those children will wake up in the same nightmare they went to sleep in. Me and my son have been over there on rescue missions, and those people need something more than a nice letter to help the. I am sorry.

This situation needs more than JK celebrity status and names stamped on it

I think it's more important to look at what she has done, rather than what she has not done.

Because we have to admit it, most people turn their backs on Darfur and leave the people in their shadow.

If every celebrity on Earth were to write a letter like this, and then everyone like us were to follow, then something would have to be done by the UN, or the governments of whatever country. It's because people don't do the simplest of things that war is still raging in Darfur.

I'm glad she uses her celebrity status to benefit others.

The problems in African are far beyond people writing letters.

Writing a letter is something you do when they cancel your favorite program on the telly.

Not when million of people are chased from their homes and slaughtered along the way.

Those people need people going over there and helping them cross safely into other countries or to find asylum in the United States, they need potable water, food, medical supplies.

I mean a little letter is nice, but really what government is going to say "Oh my god guys JK is telling us to do this we better hop to it."
