It was previously reported that J.K.Rowling and ' Half-Blood Prince' were nominated for two Quill Book Awards; ' Book of the Year' and best ' Children's chapter book'. Several news sources are reporting that the author won both awards. Quote:
"You've made a sleep-deprived mother very happy," Rowling, mother of a baby girl, said in a videotaped acceptance speech.
Congratulations Jo! UPDATE: Scholastic has issued a press release with the following new quote from JK: Quote:
"I am thrilled and honored beyond words to receive the first-ever Quill Book of the Year Award. I am still not used to the idea that so many people across the world are intimately familiar with the characters who, for so long, I alone knew. Awards like this, where readers themselves vote, are therefore especially meaningful to me."
