J.K. Rowling is set to receive the Edinburgh Award, an honour bestowed upon those who aid in the advancement in the fields of science, technology, education, arts, business or charity. Edinburgh's city council, who have given Jo the prestigious accolades, will have a walk-of-fame ceremony in the quadrangle outside the City Chambers, on which her hand prints will be immortalised in cement, as well as a dinner gala to celebrate the achievement.
There is no set date for the ceremony, but we will update as soon as we find out more about the events.
