| | |  J.K.Rowling signature helps raise money for church
J.K.Rowling's signature in the visitor's book of St Luke's church in Gloucestershire, England, has helped raise money which will go toward refurbishing the roof. Quote:
Vicar the Rev Royston Grosvenor, said: "The event went very well, we had a great response.
"We also have a first edition signed copy of her latest book which we are currently deciding what to do with. Maybe it will be used as a prize or go to auction, depending on what will raise us more money."
Fundraising committee chairman Janice Hamilton said: "The launch day went better than expected, it was a great success.
"By the next morning we had already raised more than £10,000."
You may remember that the church in question was featured in the documentary J.K.Rowling...A Year in the Life, where Jo used to clean, with her sister, for extra pocket money.
