Have women had enough of trying to look perfect? Soap company Dove's "Real Beauty" campaign has been a marketing phenomenon, striking a chord with increasing numbers of women fed up with the unattainable images of beauty they've been sold by the cosmetics giants.
The Money Programme investigates the beauty backlash as major names like J K Rowling speak out against the pressure on young people to be thin and beautiful.
Reporter Libby Potter lifts the lid on the beauty battle and asks where that leaves major players like L'Oreal and their world-wide cosmetics empire.
The Beauty Backlash will be aired on BBC2 TONIGHT at 7PM.

I love Jo for speaking her mind. I've always been thin so maybe it's just that I don't understand why all these celebrities are suddenly sickly thin even though they were perfect before. I'm glad that she's speaking her mind about it considering she's a great role model and I'm sure young girls would love to hear this message from her as she is a truly remarkable and inteligent woman. | |

Young girls always look beautiful, even if they are a bit chubby. Appreciate it while you can girls because once you've past 30 and you've had a couple of babies, everything goes south - believe me I know! Jo Is great and she probably knows what I mean!
I'm sick of all these celebs who've had babies looking perfect two weeks after giving birth and pretending they haven't had surgery, they are being unfair to those of us who can't afford it. I wish they would be honest for once, so the rest of us don't feel so bad!
I vote for more normal women on film and TV!
