| | | J.K. Rowling on Inspirational Women list
Research was recently commissioned, to celebrate the release of Changeling on DVD (which can be bought here & here), to find out who are the World's Most Inspirational Women. J.K. Rowling came fifth on the list. The poll involved 1,200 women. Quote:
The record-breaking author JK Rowling was held in high regard amongst 25-34 year olds. This was as much for her rags-to-riches story as penning the world famous Harry Potter books.

2. Mother Theresa
3. Princess Diana
4. Anita Roddick 5. J. K Rowling
6. Rosa Parks
7. Queen Elizabeth II

We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back. |

J.K. Rowling does deserves to be on the list. She really is inspirational, but ahead of Rosa Parks? I don't know about that.

i agree w/ most women on that list, JK included. Rosa Parks - absolutely. But Marie Curie, while inspiring, i am surprised would be #1.

Marie Curie, #1? I'm sorry but Mother Theresa will always be #1. And I would have put Thatcher higher.

Marie curie deserves to be no1 her work has been hugley influencial, i think jo should be higher than Dianna (then again i didnt get the whole dianna thing in the first place) but YAY for jo at number 5, she is an inspirational woman to me.

i mean like charity or somthing rather? Jo goes above and beyond the call of duty, when it comes to charity. She's forever donating her money and time.
