78-year-old Harry Potter from Bradenton, Florida, who is inundated with several calls a day whenever a new Potter book or movie is released, claimed to have received a call from none other than J.K. Rowling.
He said she was planning to hold a party for people named Harry Potter this December in either New York City or London.
However Scholastic have now confirmed that this is false and that Jo is planning no such event.

Maybe the guy wasn't making it up, but someone was trying to play a joke on him and called pretending to be JK. And then maybe he believed the caller. I dunno though, either way its weird and I didn't really believe she would plan that. Was she about to pay to fly all those people out there? haha
