| | |  J.K.Rowling interviews update
It was previously revealed that J.K.Rowling would be interviewed in Scotland by Katie Couric in July. NBC have now announced two air dates.
The interview will air on July 17th on Dateline and on July 18th on Today.
It has also been announced, by the Boston Globe, that Rowling will do an interview with Time Magazine. Quote:
You won't hear J.K. Rowling complaining about her grueling book tour, because there isn't going to be one. She has chosen two US media outlets for interviews, Time magazine and NBC's ''Today" show, and plans to speak with the operators of two Harry Potter-oriented websites, www.mugglenet.com and www.the-leaky-cauldron.org. According to the Times of London, ''the increasingly reclusive" Rowling, who owns homes in London and Edinburgh, hasn't spoken to a British journalist in two years.

I got the impression that the interview was being done today and would air later. I don't really like Katie Couric, so I'm torn between not wanting to help her ratings and wanting very badly to see what J.K. Rowling has to say. Maybe some generous soul will post a transcript!

It sounds that way Lee, but she's not doing much publicity. One TV interview and one newspaper. That's those two up there ^ and then there's her interviews with Melissa (TLC) and Emerson (Mugglenet) and the HBP Conference. Sounds like quite a bit but normally authors do more. She's in a position where she can choose how much she does because her books will fly off the shelf anyway.
