The Scotsman reports today that thanks to a very generous donation from J.K. Rowling the MS Society and Edinburgh University Centre for Translational Research can continue research into finding the cause and a cure for multiple sclerosis.
Jo, whose mother died of the disease, is patron of the Multiple Sclerosis Society Scotland. The newspaper lists her donation as £2,033,162 ($4,025,246.56). | |
