A new and rather interesting report from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was released, which explained how rather than taking freebies from the theme park, author J.K. Rowling and film stars Daniel Radcliffe and James and Oliver Phelps splurged hundreds of dollars on sweets at Honeydukes and Zonko's when they visited earlier this week.  Quote:
One staff member told the Sunday Express: “She seemed thrilled that her creations had come to life and were on sale in real life, so she bought loads of sweets.
“In all, she spent more than £300 on countless piles of sweets. She was given the option to put it on a tab, but insisted on paying for it herself.
“She could have done what she wanted. It’s her franchise after all, so we were stunned when she paid for them herself.”

She even asked us to take photos of her around the shop. She was fascinated by all the attention to detail.”
The film stars also splashed out, including James and Oliver Phelps – who play the Weasley twins – and lead actor Daniel Radcliffe.
A park source said: “They went to Zonko’s toy shop and spent loads on hats. James and Oliver spent even more than Rowling did.”
James Phelps just updated his Twitter, announcing that he is set to head home after a week at Orlando's Universal resort, where he and his fellow cast members opened and promoted the theme park.

Wow!
It's really nice to know that J.K. Rowling spent money at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter because her books came to life. For an author to see their books become reality, better when a park is built, must be an honor. It makes me look up to J.K. Rowling more.
I'm glad to see the cast putting money into the park, instead of taking freesbies. It makes me have much more respect for them. Can't wait till I get to splurge at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. | |
