The Money Programme investigates the beauty backlash as people like J.K.Rowling speak out against the pressure on young people to be thin and beautiful. Quote:
Have women had enough of trying to look perfect? Soap company Dove's "Real Beauty" campaign has been a marketing phenomenon, striking a chord with increasing numbers of women fed up with the unattainable images of beauty they've been sold by the cosmetics giants.
The Money Programme investigates the beauty backlash as major names like J K Rowling speak out against the pressure on young people to be thin and beautiful.
Reporter Libby Potter lifts the lid on the beauty battle and asks where that leaves major players like L'Oreal and their world-wide cosmetics empire.
The Beauty Backlash will be aired on BBC2 TONIGHT at 7PM.

Beauty Backlash? Who decided anorexia was beautiful? Consequently two things of note you all should know:
Ottery used Dove soap way before the commercials ... I'm not a 40 year old woman either...  but dang if I don't look good *Ottery shows off his radiant skin*
And you shouldn't look to other people in the media to tell you how to think either ... don't bash the Olsen Twins ... unless you thought of it on your own first. *fires the cannons* |
