| | | J.K.R reveals 8th Harry Potter book possible - Summary:
HARRY Potter author JK Rowling has revealed plans to write an eighth book. Article:
J.K Rowling said until now that she would write just seven Harry Potter each one for his seven years at Hogwarts, but she recently revealed she would probably wirte an eight book for charity using a few things she had to leave out in books
This is what the article had to say: Quote:
Rowling had always said she would write just seven Harry Potter books, one for every school year at Hogwarts.
But she has decided she may write another book for charity after she finishes the series using all the ideas she has had to leave out of books so far.
The book would be an encyclopaedia of the wizarding world, including plots and background about the characters she has had to leave out of the five books she has already written.
She said: 'I think it highly unlikely I'll write more novels.
'I've got enough story for seven books and I never meant to carry the story beyond the end of book seven. 'I might do an eighth book for charity, a kind of encyclopaedia for the world so I could use all the extra material that's not in the books ... we'll see.'
Rowling has already written two mini books for charity three years ago she released two Hogwarts textbooks.
The books, called Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them and Quidditch Through The Ages, revealed details about the magical world to excited fans.
Rowling also revealed she has written parts of novels for adults.
But she admitted: 'None of it is published, which is no loss I assure you.' Please note she has stressed time and time again, there will be no more novels and that a possible book eight is not likely. However an epilogue/encyclopaedia is what she will consider writing. Whatever she writes, it will not be a continuation of the characters lives the year after their seventh year at Hogwarts. Since the beginning she has always said that there will be no more than seven Harry Potter novels. WizardNews |

That's great! But I think a "PRELUDE" to Harry potter would be fantastic too... I mean, a book that would tell the story of the MARAUDERS... esp. Sirius... and of coures the LOVE-HATE relationship of LILY and JAMES! Aww.... I love their love story coz it's so sweet and I can relate to it...

I've heard this before, but it's nice to have it refreshed time after time just to continually quash the notions that she might actually write about Harry after book seven. She's always said she wont.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Remus James Lupin (RJ) Second Year | Gryfflepuff That would be fantastic! Plus an index would be great like The Complete Guide to Middle Earth that Foster did about the Tolkein books. Maybe if no done a Potter one by the time I've finish school I'll do the guide. :sorcerer: Harry Potter and The Humongous Index of People, Places and Things, as Fred and George would call it. Go Gryffindors

Other books have been done, just not by JK. I know of loads, but I have two and they're called:
"The Magic Worlds of Harry Potter - A treasury of myths, legends and fascinating facts." - David Colbert
and
"The Sorcerer's Companion - A guide to the magical world fo Harry Potter." - Allan Zola Kronzek & Elizabeth Kronzek

Thats really nice of JKR to write an eighth book for charity. Its understandable that she cannot write more books after HP.These books are the best works of all time in children's fiction by her.
