Default ITV buys the television premiere rights to CoS & PoA

ITV, the rival TV network to the BBc has bought the rights to the television premieres of the 2nd and 3rd Potter films in the series (CoS & PoA). Digital Spy has reported how the network station managed to secure the deal.

"This deal offers an incredible slate of top flight films from the hugely successful Warner Bros. Pictures stable," said Nigel Pickard, ITV's director of programmes. "We are delighted to have secured these films for ITV’s family of channels and look forward to screening them for our viewers."
This deal also includes many other blockbusters such as:

The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, Scooby Doo, Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, The Last Samurai, Troy, Ocean’s 11, Ocean’s 12, The Polar Express, Alexander, Unforgiven, The Fugitive, The Matrix, Maverick, Lethal Weapon and Wild, Wild West.

Thats cool. I look forward to seeing them on Itv in the future. Of course we've still probably got a bit of a wait before we can see them on it but at least we know they should be coming on to Itv.

Good! I prefer ITV because it has breaks with BBC you have to sit there or miss a bit.

^^^Actually they've showed PS and I think CoS on ABC Family, right before PoA was out and they had behind the scenes stuff, too! I cant wait for the DVD though I'll probably wait until Christmas to get it. Thats only a month after its out, though!

yeah in australia on pay tv its the movie network . . . they play both the hp movies so i guess when poa finally comes out on tv they will get the 3rd one too

great so there will be adverts in COS and POA just what i always love about ITV. at least BBC dont stop films for the news.

I read this in a newspaper and they said p.s isnt coming on bbc to like summer 2005 so cos and pos will be like summer 2006 long time to wait dont u think?im glad i will hav poa on dvd in november though
