| | |  Interview with Draco & Ginny film doubles
Cambridge News has a brief interview with fifteen-year-old Joe Parsison and twelve year old Holly Ellis, who are body doubles for Tom Felton (Draco malfoy) and Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), respectively, in the film version of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Quote:
Fifteen-year-old Joe Parsison, a student at Comberton Village College, played the number one double for Harry Potter's arch-enemy Draco Malfoy.
He features in the scene where Draco gets his much-deserved come-uppance from Harry.
"It was really cool. We got taken up there in a Mercedes each day and got to know all the cast. In between takes we just played table-tennis in the green room," he said.

Holly Ellis, 12, from Cottenham Village College, doubled for the young witch Ginny Weasley.
She said: "I got to meet everyone - all the stars".
She especially liked actor Robbie Coltrane who plays Hagrid the giant but was disappointed she had not made it to the film premiere.
"We were asked to go but the train broke down on the way and we missed it," she said.
"I've seen the film now though and can work out which bits I'm in."

She explained they were selected from thousands of children all over the country.
"The casting people are so precise when they choose doubles - they're looking for an exact match in height, shape and even eye colour."

i've really never noticed they're were body doubles.... then again i was probably drooling over Danial Radcliffe and Rupert Grint the whole time....lolx..... Quote:

I think the reason they use them is because time restrictions are so tight (labour laws and education) so much so that doubles are needed for testing the lighting/shots from the back etc...

I never knew that they have doubles either. Wow... Joe doesn't even look like Tom, I wonder how I've never noticed. And it's amazing how Holly looks so much like Bonnie. Give her a red wig and you've got an adorable Ginny Weasley. It'd be fun to be a double. Getting to meet everyone and get to be in the movies. They were even asked to go to the Premiere. Wow...
