| | | Interview with Hagrid double
Hugh Donaldson was the double for Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) in the third Potter film ' Prisoner of Azkaban'. He shared his experiences with the Sunday Mail. Quote:
'I got a call out of the blue. It was some experience but I have not seen the film.'
'My kids are delighted I am in it, though.'
'I was mainly filmed from the back in scenes where it was not necessary for Robbie to be there. There was no talking part. You don't see my face.'
'They made an electronic dummy of Hagrid's face that cost over £100,000. The pay was not that great - the bottom of the Equity level - but at Christmas, the film company got in touch again and sent my children a range of top-quality Harry Potter merchandise.'
| Quote: |
'I think there are areas that could be opened up with better access for film locations - and Harry Potter has definitely helped some places like Fort William - but you could not build an economy out of it.'
