| | | Information on the GoF videogame
New information concerning the video games based on the film, ' Goblet of Fire', has been released via EA Games. Reuters has a brief article detailing some of the features in the new game. Quote:
For the first time in the franchise, the virtual characters will look like the movie's actors.
Quote:
Players also will notice two new game features. When casting a spell, players will "feel the magic" as the controller shakes in reaction to the wand's motion. Also, co-operative modes allow players to join forces to combine their skills and power.
The EA Press Release details which scenes from the film, appear in the game.
Harvey Elliott, Executive Producer at EA UK said, "We have been able to develop a game that complements the film in this exciting addition to the Harry Potter franchise." Quote:
In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry is mysteriously selected as the fourth competitor in the dangerous Triwizard Tournament(TM). Each contestant in this international competition must confront a fire-breathing dragon, rescue friends from the icy depths of the Black Lake, and navigate the twisting mysteries of a vast, dangerous maze. Players will experience all the thrills of the movie -- from the Quidditch(TM) World Cup campsite to a heart-stopping duel with Lord Voldemort(TM) himself!
Harry, Ron, and Hermione are all playable characters, modeled after their big-screen counterparts. In this game, an all-new spell-casting system allows players to feel the magic for the first time as the controller shakes and reacts with every flick of the wand. Players can also team up with friends in co-operative play to combine their magic and produce more powerful spells than ever before!
The GoF game will be released in November and will be avaliable for PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, PSP(TM) handheld entertainment system, Xbox® video game system from Microsoft, Nintendo GameCube(TM), Nintendo DS(TM), Game Boy® Advance, and Windows PC.

I haven't played games on my Playstation2 (I watch movies ) in a while, but I think I may have to get into the game playing spirit again! I think I will head over to Amazon and see about ordering....
Just back from Amazon - looks like they just put it up for grabs - $49.99 for PS2 if you're curious. I didn't order - yet.

Does this mean it's a multiplayer game? *yay* I donno really when/if I'll get it but it sounds kinda cool. I have COS and POA on Game Cube. They're really cool.

The games I have.... Sorcerer's Stone
-X-box
-PC The Chamber of Secrets
-X-box
-Playstation
-Gameboy Advance Prisoner of Azkaban
-X-box
-Gameboy Advance Quidditch World Cup
-X-box
I'm not a bit obsessed at all, am I? I can't wait to get the Goblet of Fire game. I saw some screenshots and I love the fact that the characters actually look like the people from the movie. The one thing they got wrong throughout ALL of the games is this... When Harry stands in the light you can see what color his hair is. Brown. WTH?! It's supposed to be "jet black"! Nonethe less I'll be buying all of the games.

Well in that case I am glad that they will have it on computer entertainment system and windows PC. Because my out dated parents don't think that I am responsible enough to own a gameboy or playstation. And I am almost 14. geez.
