Yahoo's BUZZ reported yesterday that Harry Potter fanfic regularly pops up into the top searches list on Yahoo, but on January 14, it spiked 147%.
Some sites have speculated that this could've been down to the fact that Live Journal was down on the 14th & 15th of January.

I laughed when I read this...lol...But then again HP is popular so people could have been in a HP mood, but then again I still love the idea of it being cuz of LJ being down.  See I'm still laughing because of that!

Hmm... maybe most of the HP fanfic that people read comes from LJ and since it was down, people are finding other places to read fics? *ponders*
