GWR commercial director Malcolm Temple said: "This is probably one of the world's most famous steam trains, as it has appeared in all of the Harry Potter films, which have been seen by millions in cinemas all over the world.
"It really is a unique chance for visitors to see this magical engine in all of its red and steamy glory – and to ride through the Cotswold countryside in a train pulled by it. But it's much more than just a train ride – it is a journey into the imagination.
The event takes place from May 23 to 26. Following that, it will tow ordinary trains on May 27 and 28, and over the weekend of May 30 and 31.
