Highlights from the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 BD/DVD press conferences with the cast and crew of the series, including Rupert Grint, Warwick Davis, Mark Williams, David Barron, David Yates, Stanislav Ianevski, Domhnall Gleeson, Evanna Lynch, Jason Isaacs, James and Oliver Phelps, David Heyman, George Harris, David Bradley, and Nick Moran, which SnitchSeeker attended, for those keeping an eye on our Twitter this past weekend, can be read below. The cast, from Orlando, Fl, chatted about some of their best memories, their Harry Potter ah-ha moments, favourite books and not-so-pleasant scenes to film, and the joy of being part of the saga. Rupert Grint, Warwick Davis, Mark Williams, David Barron, David Yates, Stanislav Ianevski, Domhnall Gleeson

• Rupert admitted he hasn't seen a Harry Potter movie all the way through in years, talked about it being half his life
• Stan became a bit mushy and discussed how Harry Potter will never end, Domhnall joked about how he hated everyone, in jest, as retaliation
• Yates and Rupert said they both remember Ron/Hermione vividly (Yates in a positive way, and Rupert more bemusedly); Rupert joked that if he kissed Daniel Radcliffe it'd be a different movie altogether
• Rupert said he physically got tools just to unscrew the 4 on Privet Drive, it was screwed in so tight to the door; he also got the Deluminator
• Barron admitted that the only cast who stole a wand from the sets was Ollivander, John Hurt. Domhnall nicked Bill's wedding ring without having realised he had it on, and had to return it to the set
• Barron said as an addition/expansion to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park should be the Ministry of Magic golden lifts; Warwick insisted on having the Gringotts trolley ride from Deathly Hallows: Part 2; Stan chimed in and said the final task maze would be a good add (and stated that he wouldn't mind joining the staff to give a tour of it) - he also stated that as a set piece, he nicked a piece of the maze set as a souvenir
• Rupert discussed a man in a wheelchair who hung on to his car for several miles, as a crazy fan experience during promotion of Goblet of Fire in New York City in 2005
• Mark discussed how much he doesn't like the term franchise and how it denotes only making money. He became vocal about how the Harry Potter series meant far more than capital.
• Rupert said he enjoyed a break from actor after Harry Potter finished, but did feel a bit lost after
• Warwick admitted that in the Shell Cottage beach scenes, Rupert kept collecting Griphook's nails as they fell off, and ended up having a decent set by the end of it.
• Barron said it's possible to go back to the early Harry Potter films and remaster them to 3D but would have to discuss with Warner Bros
• Domhnall joked that he has not delved into fanfics but heard it was strange stuff; Stan was honoured by the fan devotion
• Barron & Yates said in terms of awards they would love to get recognition in the best picture category (for the Academy Awards), especially for Barron, Heyman, and J.K. Rowling, but aren't holding their breaths over it.
• Ruperts favourite Harry Potter book was Deathly Hallows, despite admitting he was probably the last person to read it because he didn't want the experience to end, so he prolonged it. When he heard J.K. Rowling's comment that Ron almost died, he found he was glad he made it to the end; Warwick's favourite book was Prisoner of Azkaban; Yates' was Philosopher's Stone, as it began the journey

Evanna Lynch, Jason Isaacs, James and Oliver Phelps, David Heyman, George Harris, David Bradley, Nick Moran

• James and Oliver discussed a prank where at the opening ceremony for the theme park in June, Rupert's body double was standing by a shop in the park. The twins told some fans that Rupert's body double was in fact Rupert (he had his back to the fans), and as such the fans went running after his double for a fair good distance in the park to get him. When they realised it wasn't Rupert, the fans were disappointed.
• Jason joked that the only time people see him as evil is when he's accompanied by an elf
• David Heyman admitted that he found the DVD/BD release promotional period just as exciting as the films' theatrical releases
• George Harris said being in the biggest film series was like hitting bingo; he also discussed a time when costar Emma Thompson came up to him for a hug, and as he was eating some nuts at the time, the mouthful sprayed all over her Trelawney hairdo
• Nick Moran joked that his favourite part of working in the Harry Potter films was watching Jason put on Lucius Malfoy's blond wig
• Jason said that the biggest Harry Potter fans were those sitting at the panels, the cast and crew
• Evanna mentioned watching television that weekend, where ABC Family had their Harry Potter marathon and found Chamber of Secrets broadcast. She found herself wanting to watch it as a genuine Harry Potter fan, especially as she wasn't in it
• Heyman attributed the films success to everyone, cast and crew always pushing each other, never settling, and having a huge support network on set; Jason praised Heyman for getting everything right: cast, crew, editors, composers as part of the series success
• Evanna said that fans wanting to be Luna inspires her to be a better person
• Heyamn loves that the books are a celebration of outsiders, thinks it's wonderful. He loved that the story focused on three kids that would not have been popular - an unattractive swotty bookworm, a redhead, and a specky kid, and along with everyone in the books, they were outsiders that he felt fans could relate to, which he loved.
• Oliver said he was very excited to have George's ear off when he read it in the books
• Nick praised costar Emma Watson for being a robust, tough actress and not some princess when they rehearsed for their forest scene in Deathly Hallows: Part 1. He said initially he had concerns that Emma would be a bit more delicate, but was pleased to see that she put all her work into the role.
• David Bradley loved the scene from the Forbidden Forest in Sorcerer's Stone, where he goes 'God, I miss the screaming', which in fact was the scene he auditioned with
• Jason loved the Borgin & Burke scene in Chamber of Secrets (the deleted scene) because it was the reason he got the cane. When he hit Tom Felton hard on the knuckles with the cane, he saw that Tom began to well up in tears and at first thought it was acting - just to realise that he was in fact in actual pain.
• Evanna loved that Luna got asked out by Harry in Half-Blood Prince because she's never asked out, and wish she got to do the Quidditch commentary
• George Harris said although he felt pressure from people knowing he'd be Minister for Magic, he wish he got to lead the resistance in Deathly Hallows: Part 2
• Heyman said that J.K. Rowling is the key and the secret to the success of the series, she was the secret ingredient that brought them together, as well as getting Steven Kloves and all four directors for the series
• James and Oliver said they have a TV pilot in the U.S. next year to film, but James mentioned having a documentary as well
• Heyman said they shot a dramatic death scene for Hedwig's death with Harry crying out to him but felt it was too hokey
• Heyman said that Fred's death was deliberately done from Ron's perspective as he felt the reaction worked more effectively than a death
• Ah-ha moments for the cast when they realised how much of an impact Harry Potter had on their lives: Nick's Potter moment was getting to the set for the first time, seeing how massive it was but realising it was more intimate in acting; Heyman's moment was in Order of the Phoenix when he knew the series was going to be completed, as well as the first day on Hogwarts Express for Sorcerer's Stone filming; Oliver's moment was on King's Cross for Sorcerer's Stone, working with Julie Walters; James' was when a person on holiday asked if he was in Potter early on in the series; Jason's moment was when he did promo for Chamber of Secrets, and while shooting Peter Pan in Australia, found how everyone in the nation was going insane for the series, thousands of miles away from the U.K.; Evanna's moment was seeing a sticker of herself as Luna on a pavement in London
