| | |  Highest security measures taken in Australia for DH
An online article from the Australian newspaper, The Age, describes the extremely high security measures put into place to guard the last Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
The publicity director for Australian publisher, Allen and Unwin, gave a very brief comment: Quote:
"Secrecy is the operative word; I can't disclose anything."
Some of the security requirements include the requirement that booksellers must sign legal documents to ensure that all details, no matter how small, remain top secret until the book's official release. For Australians, the big moment will be at 9:01 AM, and bookstore co-owner Chris Harrington recalls his experience from the secrecy to the grand opening: Quote:
“I’ve been in the business for 36 years and I haven’t seen anything like this global publishing event… It’s all part of the theatre,” he said. “You go with the spirit of it.”...“Everyone is as excited as I am,” e says. “Everywhere you look, the who e town will be quiet and people will be reading the book!
