| | |  Heyman talks GoF & Rupert wants to do OotP
In a new interview in the Melbourne Herald Sun, David Heyman, producer of the Potter films, talks about the Yule Ball and the Weird Sisters. Rupert Grint also confirms that he wants to stay on for OotP, the fifth film.
The producer described the music of the band as "rock'n'roll with an 80's feel and a little bit of weirdness."
Singer Jarvis Cocker and Radio Head guitarist Jonny Greenwood and drummer Phil Selway will be part of the Weird Sisters group, playing at the Yule Ball.
The Great Hall of Hogwarts is described as having been "transformed into a shimmering silver wonderland, with a stage made of ice." Quote:
"David Heyman says he first approached Cocker, who had written four songs for the film. 'Jarvis is a great lyricist who imbuded the songs with wit and completely got the tone we were after.' he said. In the film you'll see the Weird Sisters play regular instruments that are a little bit strange, like bagpipes with really long pipes and guitars with three necks. And because there's no electricity at Hogwarts, the sound system has to be powered by steam, so you see these bursts of steam coming out of the speakers."
In addition to 'Goblet of Fire', David Heyman talked about the likelihood that the three lead child actors will return for the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Quote:
David Heyman is quoted as saying he was "quietly confident" that the trio may be back again for the fifth Potter film "and maybe beyond".
Rupert confirmed that he wants to do the fifth film which mostly likely means that he will sign on for the project when the time comes. Quote:
"There's no reason, really, why we couldn't go on. I don't know about the others, but I want to go on."

The article also states that by the time GoF is in cinemas, in November, production will have already begun for the fifth film, OotP.
It also loosely confirms what we already knew before, that Rupert Grint has in fact finished school.

I'm more interested in the band actually...haha. I'm glad they made that so canon, you know, with the no electricity thing and the slightly different insturments.
Rupert is staying... hmmm well that is good news for us fans, because I have a feeling the trio may have a tendency to stick together.

Rupert wants to stay on, yay! That is definitely the best news of the year for me! This is why I love Rupert to bits, he doesnt play hard-to-get with the producers or anyone else.. he just stays true to himself. I'm just so happy happy  | |

That is good that they are going to have begun the 5th book before GOF is released, I just hope she finishes the series by the time it is to to do the 7th (if in fact they do go that far)

that's great!! im glad that rupert wants to stay... but i would be happier if the rest of the trio would say if they want to or not. i just don't think that it is going to be the same with out them if they don't decide to come back.... it's weird enough with another dumbledore (not saying that michael gambon is bad... but richard harris was perfect). i hope they all decide to stay.... it defiantely would be weird with dan gone.

I'll be alot happier when it is confirmed that all three will be going on for OotP, I so hope they do!
If dan went HP movies would definately not get as good as they do, it would loose alot of fans. *tries not to think about it*
