Jo Rowling, author of the Potter books, donated Hermione Granger's "time turner" from the Harry Potter film The Prisoner of Azkaban, which raised a staggering £3000 for the Edinburgh Maggie's Centre. The foundation provides cancer support, information and stress management. In total, £70,000 was raised for the chairty at the event.
it's more like 4500 actually (app. $1.50 to the pound) but sttill..god i wish i coulda got it! that would be awesome..i love how Jk does stuff like this, it's so sweet!!
