| | |  Helena Bonham Carter, Kelly Macdonald win at 17th annual Screen Actors Guild awards
As announced last month, several Harry Potter actors were nominated for their work outside the series for the 17th annual Screen Actors Guild awards. The ceremony took place this evening, where Helena Bonham Carter and the cast of The King's Speech (which included Michael Gambon and Timothy Spall, who did not attend) won the top prize of Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. Actress Kelly Macdonald (Helena Ravenclaw in Deathly Hallows: Part II) and the cast of HBO's Boardwalk Empire received the coveted prize of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for television. Photos of Helena with The King's Speech costars Colin Firth (who also won best actor) and Geoffrey Rush, and Kelly can be found in our galleries.

^I couldn't have said it better myself.  You took the words right out of mouth. 
I may be a bit biased seeing as she is one of my favorite actresses, but she definitely deserved that award, as well as the rest of the cast. Besides the obvious, she looks absolutely beautiful tonight. Her dress is gorgeous. I was actually hoping to see her in one of her creative outfits tonight, which is always a pleasant surprise, but I guess she decided to surprise us all by wearing the unexpected for her standards.  She really does have a great sense of style no matter what.
