Helena Bonham-Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter films), has been cast in Warner Bros. forthcoming film Terminator Salvation, in which, according to the actress, she will play:

"I kind of play a baddie, definitely a baddie," Bonham Carter said in an interview while promoting her new film, the comedy-drama Sixty Six. "I don't know how much I'm allowed to say, but I'm a very bad person."
She further discusses part of the reason she chose the role:

"Tim [Burton] would have killed me if I hadn't done it, because he's such a Terminator fan," Bonham Carter said, referring to her longtime partner and director on such films as Planet of the Apes. "I've been in big movies before, like Apes, and Fight Club was big in a different way, and Charlie [and the Chocolate Factory] and Sweeney Todd were big, but I've never been in this kind of big popcorn action movie, a male one, an action one."
Terminator Salvation will be in theatres May 22, 2009.
Actually, Helena doesn't always play the baddie. In fact, she's played a lot more goodies than baddies, I'm sure.
I'm so glad she's been cast in this, Helena is the best actress ever and she will make it AMAZING!

didnt i tell you that she'd be in Terminator? just needed a more updated article
ironically in her early career she was typecast as the goody two shoes/ obedient daughter. then she started getting more experimental with her roles until now she's playing characters at the opposite end of the spectrum from where she started. HBC is such a fantastic actress and the new Terminator cast is another powerhouse (and i aint saying that just cause Christian Bale is in it )
i think she meant the popcorn action movies. HP is more a fantasy movie.
indeed . ironically for me when i first heard that they were gonna do Terminator 4 i was so , even went aghast when Bale took on a role (back then no one knew he was actually John Connor). but after seeing the trailer and the set photos, looks like the quality level of Terminator from the first two movies is back with a vengeance
