In a new interview chronicling actress Helen McCrory's (Narcissa Malfoy) acting career, she talks about her on-set work experience with her Half-Blood Prince co-stars Helena Bonham-Carter (Bellatrix), Alan Rickman (Snape), and Jim Broadbent (Slughorn): Quote:
"There's Helena in Doc Martins, mad hair and rolling eyes, Alan Rickman as Snape who, if he was more relaxed, his heart would stop. Then Jim Broadbent is lurching towards you opening the door. It's surreal. These are actors normally playing lead roles and some have four lines here. So it's amazing creativity both on the acting and production fronts. There's this freedom to create which is quite unusual for Britain," she admits.
The article mentions how Helen was originally cast as Bellatrix Lestrange in Order of the Phoenix (the role now being played by Helena Bonham-Carter), but had to step aside as she had become pregnant with her second child. It also reinforces the fact that Helen will be back to play Narcissa in the Deathly Hallows films.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will make its way into theatres November 21, 2008.  | |

that's one of the special aspects about HP-- its a snapshot of UK's finest talents.
although i must say that i would've preferred McCrory to play Bellatrix. one look at McCrory and she is the book incarnate-- heavy lidded and all. I'm not saying Bonham-Carter wasnt good-- she hasnt turned out a bad performance like ever-- but McCrory has got that Bellatrix look to her and Bonham-Carter, who is obviously prettier than McCrory, could've been a better fit as Narcissa.

Yeah.They can't have only four lines.I mean, think about it.
Snape's having lots of scenes in the film...
Slughorn is another major character...
Bellatrix is having bonus scenes in the film (destruction of the bridge, Burrow attack, Hogwarts invasion and battle).
Yeah, she's not talking literally but she actually means that these fantastic 5-star actors actually take supporting roles in the film and not the major ones because, let's face it, the major ones for the film are the trio and Dumbledore only. Even Draco isn't a lead character.
We'll see!
But she seems fun and she must have enjoyed shooting for the film.
I wonder if she's having the two scenes in the book or even more.

It will be interesting to see McCrory all paled out....blonde wig, super fair skin and maybe contact lenses for lighter eyes. The character that still seems out of whack is Broadbent as Slughorn...He was portrayed so clearly in the books that you expect to see his near twin on film.

bah thats just jealousy talking . Imelda Stanton already said that if one of them veterans got a part in HP its like a stamp of approval that says you're a legendary actor.
