All right guys, here is the quote, minus a couple of choice words that is.... racial slur to be exact. His voice over is supposed to represent the 'foreign press' talking about Johnson trying to secure a fight with (white) Heavy Weight Champion Tommy Burns, but Burns refuses. (It is about a minute, and is found about 32-35 minutes into the story.)
Johnson eventually became the first black Heavy Weight Boxing Champion, but his personal character was questionable. (As in womanizing, using prostitutes, etc.) All this occurred at the turn of the century, early 1900's.
Quote:
With money in his pocket, and physical triumph over white men in his heart, he displays all the gross and overbearing insolence which makes what we call a () insufferable. He is one of the comparatively few men of African blood who, in a half persevering way, desire to make the white men pay for the undoubted mistreatment of his forbears.
