Previously 'secrets' that were to be revealed in ' Half-Blood Prince' where hinted at through a leaflet. Bloomsbury and Rowling's agent, Christopher Little have all responded saying this information is unofficial. Quote: Christopher Little Agency: "They can't have seen a copy, so it must be in their imagination."
Quote: Bloomsbury: "As far as we are aware Scholastic have not released any information about the book, so I think as with last time, this is one of many possible scams to come between now and July with people purporting to have advance information about the book."

"Scholastic has provided us with no facts about the contents to the new book." The email went on to say the info was gleaned from fan info on the Web.

This news doesn't mean to say these things WON'T happen, just that it's not necessarily going to happen in the next book.
However, Rowling has confirmed that Harry will have more romances in HBP.

They did say that the info added was taken off different websites, and I'm glad they admitted it 'cause it all sounded so familiar. In all honesty, whoever did it probably thought we, the fans, know more than we really do. It was probably a newbie, or an intern, that was told to write a summary, and so they looked up "Harry Potter" on google, or asked their kid(s) or whatever and just went by the fan sites, not the smartest idea, but understandable. Probably should have tried JK's site or her publisher's or something.

Perhaps people are getting desperate to...that makes them make something up so it seems true? It seems farfetch'd but I suppose it may happen.
I wish I have some romance myself right now before my last year in high school ends this year and Harry's lucky to get some in the next installment. *sigh*

Exactly.
This isn't entirely made up.
What they printed was based on facts presented by websites. Some of these things are true, they just wont necessarily feature in HBP.

JKR has confirmed that we will discover all three of these things, she didn't specify if it was in Book six, seven or at a later date on her website after all the books.
