Earlier we reported that Mugglenet claimed to have information from a bookstore owner claiming they'd been told in a leaflet that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince release date would be announced in January 2005.
Now there seems to be more to the rumor. Two more bookstore employees have informed them that they, too, received a corporate memo warning to expect a release date for book 6 to be announced in January 2005. Here it is: Quote:

HARRY POTTER!
The book world is abuzz with rumors that J.K. Rowling may announce the publication date for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince soon. Our children's buyer tells us that we can expect an announcement sometime in January.
Well, that's all we know so far. We want to be ready, so we can start communicating with our customers as soon as the announcement occurs!

I hope this is true cause we have heard many rumours and most of them have not been really true, for example The Pillar of Storge one. I just hope that it is not going to be disappointing news again, so for the time being I am going to wait to see what J.K has to say in the coming months. The only words I will believe are that of J.K herself (on her site of course), and all others I will consider as rumours unless they have reasonable evidence to back them up. | |
