Two men were arrested after shots were fired when they tried to buy the new book ' Half-Blood Prince'. Quote:
Police sealed off streets in Kettering, Northants, on Friday morning, in an attempt to find the weapon.
It's thought that the incident happened as a newspaper reporter attempted to buy Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is coming out next month.
Police said two men from Kettering aged 37 and 19 were being held on suspicion of theft and firearms offences.
Bloomsbury confirmed that two books were recovered but could not comment further on the matter. The Scotsman are reporting that it was a reporter from The Sun that was trying to purchase the copy. Quote:
A spokesman for The Sun later told the Press Association: “The newspaper was approached by someone claiming to have a copy of the new Harry Potter book.
“A reporter and photographer from The Sun met with two men with the intention of obtaining the book so it could be returned to the publisher and the police could be informed.”

Consider how much $$ some would pay for inside look at the book. There is betting underway on if there is a death and who it might be. A newspaper would want to be the first in the world to review it. I find it to be sad.

Boy, that's funny! But newspapers will do anything for a good story epecially if they're the only ones with the info. *cough* Rita Skeeter
Hate to bring in history class in here, but that reminds me of The Washington Post during the Watergate scandle. But The Washington Post was just exposing the truth, not packing heat.

Aww...haven't you noticed how good patient fans we all are? I mean, we're all here, waiting impatiently that's true, but at least we're not attempting anything crazy like shooting.
