Harry Potter has come in at first place in a poll of famous people who wear glasses. The fictional character beat Johnny Depp, The Doctor & the Queen. The College of Optometrists, who conducted the survey, said Potter has "made glasses cooler" amongst youngsters. Quote:
Dr Susan Blakeney said: "Our research confirms a change that has been quietly taking place for years. While in the past wearing glasses may have made you a source of amusement for playground bullies, with Harry Potter books and film stars like Johnny Depp at the forefront of popular culture, children can now wear their glasses with pride."

I would never think that wearing glasses is not cool, seeing as without them I can't really see. I never really was bullied about it. Or was I? Don't really remember, I never was the kind to worry too much about what other people say. And I think everybody should do the same.
Anyway, another good thing Harry Potter's done.
