| | | Harry Potter theme park Three Broomsticks concept art
Universal Orlando have sent us a peek at the new early concept artwork for The Three Broomsticks restaurant which will be part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park.
They also let us in on the reason why they chose The Three Broomsticks as the place where park guests will be able to get authentic food and drink worthy of Harry himself. Quote:
The results of our first online poll question – "Where would you most like to get a refreshment or snack in Hogsmeade?" – are in, and the overwhelming choice is The Three Broomsticks!
To cast your vote in Universal’s new online poll about which drink you’d prefer to enjoy at the restaurant, click here. (I was in the majority. How about you?)
The park is scheduled to open late 2009. |

oh my gosh i was just tlaking to my friend of how cool it would be to have like the three broom stick at the theme park based off of Harry Potter and stuff like that like you could actally go to the shops and stuff and do things like in the wizarding world. so that is so cool.

wow! now that's what i'm talking about
i also voted The Three Broomsticks, although it was a tough decision between that and Honeydukes . i do hope they could still have Honeydukes though, i mean whats a theme park without a sweets shop?
in the new poll i voted pumpkin juice. i dont drink, so i have no idea if they intend to have alcoholic content in their butterbeer.

Ok, looking at that rendering makes me wonder if the rumours are correct-- the location of the three broomsticks will likely be the Enchanted Oak.
I can see how it would be an easy transition, and the ambiance is similar-- though I'd hate it if they get rid of the oak's exteriors or the Star chart stained glass ceiling.
I love that restaurant. (Personally I'd hope they'd change it into a whomping willow restaurant. But that's just me. XD

Anyway, the first glimpse of this restaurant looks amazing!! - has me quite excited for the whole park actually... My mom (who doesn't really like HP), heard of the themepark and might pay for me to go as a graduation present (as I'll likely be finishing graduate school at the time *fingers crossed*) |

The only thing that could ever get me to Florida (too hot for me), is that park! I am very exctied, and hope it lives up to the hype, I'm also excited that they are giving us fans involvement in the things that they include, it means a lot, and it also shows I think how much influence Jo has on the project too, that we are being included in some of the decisions.
Was in the majority for that poll too, sometimes the majority is good, when its butterbeer!

in the new poll i voted pumpkin juice. i dont drink, so i have no idea if they intend to have alcoholic content in their butterbeer. According to canon, the alcoholic content is very minor, like that of shandy, so it should be irrelevant. I voted for Butterbeer because I think Pumpkin juice is more of a Hogwarts drink. However I did vote for The Three Broomsticks previously, just because it's the most logical place to get food and drink.

No, they will mostly likely serve other alcoholic beverages, but not in the pumpkin juice since the Hogwarts students drink it in the book. They DO serve alcoholic beverages in the theme parks, Disney, Epcot and Universal...and Wizarding World is within Universal's Islands of Adventure. The interior looks very cool, but will be very large, because they always have lots of places to eat and I fully imagine that you will be able to order some food here.
They have posted signs up on the barriers where construction that actually say Wizarding World of Harry Potter - coming soon. So loads of people are peeking over the walls now.

And isn't it meant to be served warm?
