With the general election looming, something like this was bound to crop up sooner or later.
12% of children questioned for a poll sponsored by Cartoon Network, wanted Harry Potter to be the next Prime Minister.
Tony Blair, the current Prime Minister, came third.
Football star, Wayne Rooney won the poll which involved kids between the ages of 9 and 13.
They were also asked what was the most important issue to them. Bullying and animal cruelty were top of the list.

nice to know kids these days know bullying in a major issue in the UK, that should be part of the election run, to try to decrease bullying.
but how cute, Harry Potter, Prime minister, hey i wouldnt mind, he could magic away all the horid people in the UK!!!!

I hate having to vote this will be the second General election i have voted in and i hate it..
I think you shoudl get a pack when you turn 18 int he UK that tells you basicaly about the partys, what you are voting for and just general information about hoe the votes are worked out.
If Mr Weasley or Harry were up for election more people would vote

I'm with the kids on this one...Harry Potter would make a good Minister... All Politicians suck...they're crooks anyway whatever their initial intentions, but since most of them are just bored rich power hungry individuals... *fires cannons* Aaargh And Animals are important and bullying is a serious issue...then the bullied wouldn't grow up to be scared adults seeking positions of power i.e. politicians  And they'd all have pets and we wouldn't be wasting our time making stupid wars and we might actually get around to dealing with poverty And my birthday could be an official national holiday, and we'd get candy at lunch, and no homework... | |

Bullying and harassment are a big problem here in the US too. In fact, now its against the law in vermont because of some suicide cases.
