| | |  Harry Potter lookalike winners announced
The Sun recently held a Harry Potter lookalike competition with the grand prize being tickets to the PoA DVD Launch this coming Thursday.
The winner was Harry lookalike Danny Holme, 15, of Reigate, Surrey.
Runner-up was Hermione double Megan Endlich, 15, from Michigan, US.
Mischa Purnell, 10, of Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, clinched third place as Ginny Weasley.

Hermione looks like she's wearing a wig.
The Sun said the Danny kid looks like Dan from the films, but that's not exactly Harry. Danny looks like Dan not Harry IMO.

I dont think any of them particuly look like the characters... espec the Ginny person (dont mean it harshly)I suppose the Hermione person does look a bit like Emma , and the Harry person slightly, too ish... Looks like its been photoshopped (Hermione one)

Congrats though. Yes, it looks extremely photoshopped. To me it look like a school picture (the pose is so reminiscent of that) and the colours for the uniform and the hair have been pasted in.

i have to say there are something that look very much like them.....but was it just me or did Emma Watsons hair look red like she was a hed-head(no offence to her or anything cuz she is my fav. character and all but i just had to say it)?

Yes, I don't think they look much like the characters (for example Hermione has bushy brown hair, not perfect little waves) But Danny did a good job with the green eyes.

Hmm... looks more like an actor lookalike contest. It does say "Harry Potter FILM lookalike" contest. The Ginny lookalike looked like what I though Ginny would look like, before Bonnie Wright (Although I love Bonnie in the role). The last 2 pics do look a bit photoshop-ish.

I dont think the Harry Potter lookalike looks all that good, but hey better than lots of people I know. I think the Hermione one looks really good, shes really pretty, love the hair, but if its photoshopped or something, than thats just stupid. Ginny is ok  | |

What is the point of having a Harry Potter lookalike compitition if you are going to have a HARRY POTTER MOVIE cast lookalike? i mean not one of them ie Dan, Emma or Rupert really look like they should (Example when did hermione have GHD'd hair?)
THe girl who is supose to be hermione looks like the just pasted in her face. they guy who is Dan looks like someone err micheak palin or somthing and Ginny has to much makeup on for a 10 year old.

Plus, they'd have to choose the best lookalikes from among the entrants. If I were the only entrant, I'd win, even though I look about as much like any of the actors (or characters) as I do like a fish.
IMO, these kids look enough like the actors to be distantly related to them, but not exact doubles. Even if Megan is wearing a wig, lots of times people who enter lookalike contests do stuff like that to look more like the person. She's a very pretty girl regardless.

Ginny shoud've won. You know, that's the one thing I hate the most. People base what they think Harry and the other characters look like by the actors. I noticed a lot of HP fanart is of the actors. Not the way they think the characters should look. The 2nd girl kinda looks like Emma, but she's no Hermione.
