| | |  Harry Potter film series to receive CinemaCon Hall of Fame award
The Harry Potter film franchise will be receiving the CinemaCon Hall of Fame award at the end of this month for its "rare and exceptional achievements in the motion picture theater industry," it has been announced. Producer David Heyman will be in Las Vegas for the CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards on March 31, 2011 to pick up the award on behalf of everyone involved in the series. 
Mitch Neuhauser, managing director of CinemaCon, had this to say on the recognition: Quote:
"With Harry Potter being the largest-grossing franchise in motion picture history, we could not think of a more exciting or appropriate way to inaugurate this special award than by presenting it to Harry Potter producer David Heyman in honor of this incredible success," said Neuhauser.
"Since the first film hit theatres in 2001, Harry Potter has created a global phenomenon unlike anything ever seen before. Ten years and seven blockbuster films later, the most successful film franchise of all time-having entertained and thrilled audiences of all generations around the world-will present its final chapter this summer, while its legacy in film history will live on forever."

I think it's so amazing how many awards the Harry Potter franchise seems to be getting now. The movies are so fantastic they definitely deserve all the praise they're getting

I'm delighted to see taht the series receives this many awards. Now only one thing is missing and that is an OSCAR. If the final movie doesn't get at least one than there is no justice in the world.... Congrats and a big thanks to everyone who contributed in the making of this fantastic franchise. | |

This made me tear up. It's been an amazing journey, there's nothing like HP and there won't be anything like this for a very long time. If ever. It's been a huge thing for the film industry but also for us. The way we've been growing up with HP through all these years is amazing. We've been so lucky to have the same cast all the way and that's what makes this franchise so unique.
I will miss the past years hugely. Long live Harry Potter!
