Oh wow! I thought reading coffee dregs was only a thing that was done in my culture! I don't personally do it, but my aunt does. Apparently she accurately predicted my grandfather's death and told my cousin, who was at the time unsuccessful with her and her husband's attempts at getting pregnant, that her first child was on the way (which it was - a few weeks later she found out she was pregnant).

I also have a cousin who reads tarot cards. She once did a reading for me, and boy, did I freak! She hit the nail on the head, concluding personal things about me that were too private and detailed for her to already know.

hah, i only have coffee...but reading tea leaves reminds me of something slightly random

once my friend did this thing where you have to stare into their eyes for a long time, and he kind of 'reads' you...i dont know what it was, but it was kind of scary because he was right about some things that nobody has been able to figure out yet....made me shiver, but im used to those odd feelings...premonitions and stuff like that.

nah i don't believe tea leaf reading is very accurate.

im more inclined to take hermione's line on this thing. i mean its totally ridiculous and un reliable and no more than a combination of "shoddy gueswork and a spooky manner"!!!!

can you just rip open a bag of tea and use that? i don't know if i could drink all the tea with things floating around in it!

i did have a tarot card reading once on vacation in new orleans. it was pretty cool. she knew that my parent's were getting a divorce and told i'd get invovled with a secret admirer. two weeks after i got back home i started going out with a guy who wanted to go out with me 2 years before but could not, for reasons i won't get into here. it didn't work out but i was still amased that the tarot card reader knew all that. and i'd never seen her before in my life!
