| | | Harry Potter dies at 98
A man from Florida, called Harry Potter, died last Saturday at the age of 98.
Apparently when the novels started to gain popularity, Harry would get stares from waitresses whenever they read his name on a seat-list. Soon parents started knocking his door with their Potter books in tow, asking him to sign them for their children. He even answered late-night phone calls to those who were asking if he was the real Harry Potter.
His daughter said: Quote:
''A lot of people would get irritated by something like that, but not him. He always got a good chuckle out of it.''

He sounds like a very patient man... Quote:

From the sounds of it, he got a lot of attention being Harry Potter, and for some of the elderly, it is much needed attention.
It's great to know he was such a good guy with a great attitude. Not many young people would have put up with the attention he got for just having the name 'Harry Potter'.
I would loved to have met him! It sounds like he enjoyed the 'recognition'. We could all hope to have an attitude like his and to have the chance to live to 98!

It's nice to know that he had people visit him and want to know him before he died, even if it was to do with Harry Potter the novel...
