| | |  Harry Potter creative team, J.K. Rowling to receive ADG contribution to cinema award
The production team behind the Harry Potter films, including author J.K. Rowling, producers David Heyman and David Barron, screenwriter Steve Kloves, and director David Yates will be among those to receive the honorary outstanding contribution to cinematic imagery award from the Art Directors Guild at a lavish ceremony to take place as a highlight of ADG’s 16th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards on February 4, 2012.
Also among the recipients of the accolades for their creative contribution to the Harry Potter films are production designer Stuart Craig, art director Neil Lamont, and set decorator Stephenie McMillan. The event will take place at the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. 
Thomas Walsh, ADG president, commented on why the film series and its principal creative team were receiving the recognition. Quote:
“Their phenomenal success is due to a unity of vision and the masterful wizardry of the franchise’s creator, producers, screenwriter and art direction family,” said Thomas Walsh, ADG president.
“From the very beginning a unique creative partnership has guided the realization of these finely crafted gems. The result is a lasting legacy to the art of narrative storytelling for the moving image, one that will stand the test of time, and one that has raised the creative bar of achievement for all who love film.”

Great!!! I really hope technical teams get Academy Award this years. The most I want to see get an Oscar is Stuart Craig and the Creature designers's team. They deserves it, their work is outstanding!
