Goldstream Provincial Park on Vancouver Island in British Columbia is holding a Harry Potter sleepover where campers can learn about bats, owls, toads, spiders and snakes in their natural habitat. Quote:
"It’s a fun event aimed at families," said Goldstream Park naturalist Nicole Polet between fittings for Buffy, the resident Western toad’s sorcerer’s hat. "Harry Potter appeals to kids and adults alike, so there’s a broader range of people we can reach."
"Parents can plug their kids in and vice versa."
"The more we learn about the habits of creatures, the more likely we’ll be to understand the importance of protecting their habitat."

That's AWESOME! If only I could go (I'm at ANOTHER camp during that time as far as I know). If I wasn't tho, I'd SO ask if I could go cause I'm only hours away from the Island (cause of ferries I'm like, an hourish from the ferry terminals on the island). It sounds kinda icky with spiders (I hate spiders) but that's still cool...
Hope it's on next year too tho!
