Harry Potter actors reveal who they would cast as Dumbledore in 'Fantastic Beasts'
During this week's press launch of Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter's new Forbidden Forest expansion, Harry Potter actors Jason Isaacs, Evanna Lynch, and James and Oliver Phelps exclusively revealed to SnitchSeeker who they would cast as young Dumbledore in the current Fantastic Beasts film series, and whether they would consider portraying ancestors of their characters in the saga.
Isaacs said it took him a bit to get used to the transition of the late Richard Harris to Sir Michael Gambon as the older Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies, but when a name did pop up, he considered Harris's son Jared to take on the role in Fantastic Beasts.
The two were also asked by SnichSeeker's reps if they would play ancestors of their Malfoy and Lovegood characters, to which Isaacs said yes. Evanna then asked the Lucius Malfoy actor if he would consider portraying a Lovegood character as well. The responses can be watched above.
James Phelps, on the right, when asked the Dumbledore casting question, volunteered himself to bring the character to life, watchable below.
More to come from SnitchSeeker's interviews with the four actors, as well as makeup and prosthetics head Nick Dudman, very shortly, courtesy of SnitchSeeker correspondents Charmaine and Dylan who were at the studio tour this past week.
