From Mugglenet.com: Quote: The Times - one of England's more respectable newspapers - yesterday printed a huge photo of Emma Watson on the front page with a caption that said Dan Radcliffe and Emma "set tongues wagging" by holding hands at the premiere. This surprised me as I hadn't seen them holding hands at all. It was apparently only for a brief moment during the photocall inside the theater. Quote: Dan has repeatedly stated that Emma is like a sister to them and they are just really good friends. The Times' choice of words (curiously the same as was printed in the Daily Record, a British tabloid) sensationalized the story. I saw them holding hands there...I'm positive...I thought it was a little strange but pushed it off as good friendship because me and my guy friends hold hands all the time..

Dan and Emma are not going out, Dan has said many times that he doesn't have a girlfriend, he even said at the premiere and I should know I was there! They are just really close mates and when they met I saw them hug each other, but they won't have seen much of each other once they had finished filming.
Anyway if they are going out we should just leave them to it. But I don't think they are, they are only 14 and they have loads of pressure with these films to cope with. Going out with one another would just add to this pressure!
I am quite surprised that The Times did a big spread on this, they are supposed to be one of the more respectable newspapers in Britain! They are just friends and we shouldn't think anything of them holding hands.  | |

The Times did it to rid the press (mainly the tabloids) of these rumors and also to relieve the pressure on the kids. I mean to have rumors spread about them would give them quite a bit of stress and could give them a complex at their young age.

Yeah thats what I thought, that it was just to get people to understand that they arent going out. I mean every interview has asked them if they are going out, imagine how annoying that must be.
