| | |  Half-Blood Prince video game producer talks final scenes
In a new interview, executive producer Jonathan Bunney briefly talks about the final sequences (more specifically Snape killing Dumbledore; Jonathan says players will not actually get a chance to emulate the murder in the game) of Electronic Arts' Half-Blood Prince video game: Quote:
EA can’t actually talk about the ending. “I can’t, under our Warner Bros. embargo, talk about the ending,” laughed “Harry Potter” executive producer Jonathan Bunney told me while he was showing me the game at a publisher event a couple of weeks ago. “But I can tell you that you will not be…interacting…”
Will you take your Wiimote and…? “Whatever you’re alluding to, you won’t be doing that. [laughs],” said Bunney. “Obviously, it’s a massive — I was so shocked when I read it. I put the book down and said, ‘That’s crazy! You can’t have done this.’ We’re dealing with it very sensitively because it’s a big deal, right? Obviously, we’re making a game that kids are going to be playing, as well.”
There is still no current date of release for the video game, though once it is announced, we will have it posted as soon as possible.  | |

I didn't understand a thing. The final sequences are,without a doubt, the Cave, the Astronomy Tower and the chases/battles at the castle and the Grounds before the denouement. So...I can't understand what they're trying to tell us.In the second paragraph, it's clear that they're talking about the death scene but what is this 'you will not be interacting?' thing about the climax that can't even be talked about?
I'm curious...

What's being asked here is, "do you actually get a chance be Snape and kill Dumbledore in the video game?" To which Jonathan says no. It'll be something else, or some other way to approach it, but what it is is beyond us, because they aren't allowed to say.

Maybe the last thing you actually play in the game is the Cave, and then the final battle is one big cut scene. Thats a possibility.

I understood what he is saying, i got that it was about the death scene and that you wouldn't actually be killing anyone in it. he actually said it quite well without saying anything, that was smart. Well in my opinion.

I think that man just likes talking, because he said absolutely nothing of interest. Who on earth out of us would actually kill DD? Game progression be damned, I wouldn't do it, so i think its quite right that we see that part as a cut scene.
Just hurry up and give us the date already, you silly man, or say nothing at all!
