| | |  Half-Blood Prince to focus on relationships
In a new interview with MTV the Half-Blood Prince cast & crew have spoken about how the sixth film deals with relationships, in particular those between Harry/Ginny, Hermione/Ron/Lavendar and Harry/Dumbledore. Quote:
Yates said. "I'm looking forward to developing the relationship between Ron and Hermione, and Ron and Lavender. There's a nice triangle there."
Quote:
"I'm jealous of Dumbledore taking all the scenes," laughed Evanna Lynch, who plays Luna Lovegood. "But what they've done is really good."
Katie Leung explained why she's returning as Cho Chang. Quote:
"There's still a slight jealousy there with Ginny to be resolved," she said.
Evanna spoke about meeting Frank Dillane, the actor who will play the teen age version of Tom Riddle. Quote:
"I saw him, but to go up and say, 'Hi'? He's Voldemort!" she said. "But maybe I will. He has a quiet, dark side, so people don't know him much yet. He doesn't say much. I'm sure he's a lovely boy. But he does have that aura."

Gosh, I love the way she describes Frank. It's a little sad to imagine this little 11 year old boy with such a dark "aura" just sitting in a corner of the set all by himself though .. but really, that's sort of what you'd want out of a Voldemort character, isn't it? | |

Ugh.
It sounds like HBP the film is going to be a teen drama. I really am not looking forward to actually seeing H/G. It's bad enough having to read it.... Merlin. Why focus on relationships. I mean, out of all the books, that one certainly focuses more on them, but... it's about Voldemort's Horcruxes and the war.... and they've already cut out Hephziba Smith and the Gaunts and the Prime Minister....
Alas, I know I'll only see it once because when do I actually like the films???
Never. That's when. Why didn't they wait till the books were done? That's what I don't get... relationships? I ask! Pah!
And oh, dear, Merlin! We have to deal with What's His Face Dumbledore. Merlin, he is terrible! Disney should have done the films... | |

Although, I'm not a big fan of the movies either...I wouldn't say they're all that bad. A bubbly feeling ALWAYS rushes past me when I see the quirky little tidbits/creations from the books that have been adapted to film. That alone is worth watching the whole movie. Once again, strictly my opinion. ^.^
In no way is the movie as great as the book, but -- gah! -- I'm not complaining! =3

Anyone have a wastepaper basket handy? I feel to need to violently evacuate my stomach. I KNEW this was going to turn into "When Harry Met Ginny", or "Romancing the Sorcerer's Stone". And as far as Katie being back goes, not good enough. If the Gaunts, who are vital to the plot, are left out, and Katie is back to resolve jealousy that was never even hinted at in the books, then I am even more disappointed than I was already. You would think that with Kloves back as screenwriter things would have righted themselves again. I have to say, my anticipation to seeing the movie is being eclipsed by a feeling that I'm going to walking out of the theater saying "HUH?????"
