Marine Wife!

I love how the Shiznit person commented on Emma's "Scowl throughout" like it was a bad thing and yet she is SUPPOSED to have one bc of Ron/Lavender!!! LOL Overall the reviews are saying the movie is at least bearable, but I love how they are say it for different reasons, "This movie is good bc it defers from the book" "It is good bc it is true to the book" some people just DO NOT GET IT!!! Can't wait to see it for myself!!! 6 days!!!

Most of the Reviews Overall are saying the movie is waay more than Bearable and very good... They're good for the most part... except maybe the Guardian and Shiznit which are mixed, I would say the Hollywood Reporter's was mixed till I saw that they gave it an "A" on a website I linked a few posts ago with several HP reviews and a;spon Rotten Tomatoes, The Hollywood Reporter gave it a good tomato.

I'M TIRED OF REVIEWS!! I've been looking at reviews and trailers since last year, bring the movie out already... I don't know if I can wait another 10 days... lol! I'm already getting upset about waiting a year for Deathly Hallows...

Yeah a lot of these reviews are really summaries, which is sad. All the "negative" reviews are summary.

I'm pretty sure that Harry Potter is getting good reviews and it's a movie that is very anticipated by their fans.

I am excited to watch movie, I've already purchased my tickets for the midnight premiere and looking forward to watching it.

Anyway, I'm like SUPER excited for this movie mostly because I saw the length of the movie on Saturday. 2 hours and 45 minutes!!! Longest movie since Chamber of Secrets, AND HBP was a longer book, so that 2 hours and 45 minutes should be worthwhile. Hopefully
That would make sense since this is the news section.

From The Sun:

Instead of "going darker" again (yawn), Daniel Radcliffe as Harry, inset, Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) go lighter.

At times like a High School rom-com.
uhh... actually if anything, that greatly discourages me

The SFX review pretty much sums up what I've been thinking ever since they announced what has been cut from the film.

Quote:
...This could be Voldemort’s film: the book details his origins in a series of flashbacks, which here are reduced to two (arguably three – one’s revisited). It could have been Dumbledore’s film (considering his fate), but the relationship between Harry and his mentor remains as underdeveloped as ever, cordial and distant when it should be poignant and charming.

No, instead we get Grange Hill with wands.
Backstory, character development, insight, plot. That's what I loved about HBP.
I didn't much care for the romance. Sure, it was a nice addition, but while it lightened the overall mood of the book, it wasn't what HBP was about for me, not at all.
I guess that's why I just can't get my head around the fact, that they decided to cut all these important and (in my opinion) much more interesting things in favour of even more romance.
Why couldn't they have focused on the plot for a change, instead of rendering all these awesome characters as two dimensional as possible...

The great Roger Ebert has reviewed Half Blood Prince! And he enjoyed it!
