| | |  Half-Blood Prince helps shift Harry Potter DVDs
Reuters reports that the cinematic release of Half-Blood Prince has had a knock-on effect with sales of the first five movies on DVD. Quote:
The Harry Potter effect hit the sales charts for the week as the newest installment in the movie series, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," debuted in theaters July 15.
"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" placed at Nos. 6 and 10, respectively, on the sales chart. "Order" also took No. 6 on the Blu-ray sales chart, with a five-movie Potter collection at No. 10, "Goblet" at No. 11, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" at No. 15, "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" at No. 19 and "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" at No. 20.

Wow. Those are good numbers for movie sales.
With Harry Potter, you can't go wrong. As each movie comes out, it gets bigger and bigger. While I have a lot of "mixed emotions" about HBP, it's still my favorite thus far because there are a tons of Draco Malfoy / Death Eater scenes. -shrugs-
I've got the 1-5 that came out through Amazon. I'll definitely buy an "Ultimate Collector's BoxSet" when it becomes available, though.
