* HPANA interview with Jamie Waylett - HPANA interview with Jamie Waylett Summary:
Jamie gives interview while in New York City. Article: HPANA has posted an excellent interview with actor Jamie Waylett who protrays Vincent Crabbe in the Harry Potter movies. Waylett, who was in New York City on holiday from the set of Goblet of Fire reveal a few bits of information about the movie and about his involvement in the HP series. Quote: On your website you said that you auditioned for the role of Dudley Dursley, but they picked you for Crabbe. Are you happy now that you got the role of Crabbe, since the Dudley role seems to have been removed from Goblet of Fire?
I'm happy to be Crabbe because he's in the school, he gets to be part of the wizard school and stuff, but I would have been happy if I had got the role of Dudley as well. When I look back on it, good job I got Crabbe instead. Quote: What has been the most memorable scene that you have acted in thus far?
The upcoming ferret scene in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire -- it should be good... it will be the best, and it's so funny. Quote: Can you tell us anything about the current filming? What's in, what's out?
Current filming – I can't give away too much. The ferret scene, that's one to look out for. The Yule Ball – that scene is in, but I haven't filmed it yet. You can read the full interview here:HPANA Interview |

I think its funny that he was afraid of Alan Rickman. But hey, I don't blame him. If I were to met someone like Alan, I would try my best to stay out of his way.
Great interview! Quote: You said in a recent interview that you go to college one day a week. Do you still go? What are you studying and what do you hope to do when you're finished? I was looking at IMDB just a few minutes ago, and it says that he's only 15. So how is he going to college at 15?

They cut so much from all the movies. At the last launch party they showed a blooper reel put to music. I had to eat trifle for three days and I hate trifle. I was sitting with Tom and Josh and I just turned and threw up into the bowl. Tom and Josh jumped out of their seats. A very funny scene which should be on the DVD (but may not be) - there is a scene with Devon [Murray; Seamus Finnigan] in Lupin's class where Dracula (his boggart) takes off his cape and it's a woman in a bikini. She starts dancing because Lupin is playing music, and we all start dancing and Malfoy just hits me like I'm a dog or something. The conga line was funny, that was cut out too.
Mmm. That's interesting. A congo line & a lady in a Bikini. No wonder it was cut. |

Awesome!! I agree with him, I'd rather be a student where all the "magic" is rather than a Muggle character! I can't wait for this movie!!! ESPECIALLY the Ferret scene!!

What a cool interview, nice young man
Cool! The Yule Ball is going to be filmed AND everyone who's interviewed mentions the ferret scene, I bet that's the best, well funniest, scene in GoF
Cool, a woman in a bikini, and a conga line? That makes me even more eager to get the DVD :sorcerer:

That's a great interview. It's funny, because you begin to think of these people as their character counterparts, so when you hear Jamie string three words together it's rather startiling.
The scene with the Vampire/Bikini sounds hysterical. I hope they decide to put that in the DVD!

Weelll... You can go to colledge for specialist lessons. I lot of people are doing farming and agriculture as a main subject at school, so they go off to colledge where there are specialists and stuff.
My best mate Hanna goes to colledge, we are in year 11. She does a course in Horse riding.

I was looking at IMDB just a few minutes ago, and it says that he's only 15. So how is he going to college at 15? College is 16+ in the UK but kids under that age tend to do college courses if they have problems academically or for some reason find normal school work, hard. From what I understand, he does practical work at that college.

I cant believe how ignorant some interviewers are. Graduate? We don't do that over here. We finish school but we don't call it anything special mainly because it's something everyone should do. We graduate from University.
And that bikini scene - glad it was cut. Sounds very tacky and not at all in canon with the rest of the book. McGonagall with a failed exam paper for Hermione would've been far funnier and in much better taste.
