| | | GoF will be a PG-13 TV Guide reported yesterday that ' Goblet of Fire' would be given a PG-13 rating in the US due to sequences of fantasy violence and frightening images."
It has now been confirmed by WB that the fourth film will indeed have that rating.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Rachelle Williams Fourth | I expected it to be PG-13, but never R. Kids love these books and they're going to see (or want to) see the movies. I guess they'll just clean it up a little, but I really doubt that they'll rate any of them R...but I haven't read the 7th so we'll just have ot see about that one. |

| Who cares. I mean, every reader of HP KNOWS that it gets darker and scarier and well, they ARE growing up and with that, innocence goes OUT the window. haha
So, really, it is up to the parents to keep an eye on how their children USE what they see in everyday life. So yeah. Be responsible. |

| Well, I can't say I'm not surprised. They get darker and that is all part of the plan. Now I know that this won't keep all little kids out. Though I really never had any problems with little kids in the thearters when i went to see any Harry Potter movie. I don't think it's bad to take kids to see these movies. I think that the parent or guardian should know what the child can handle and if they think it isn't something the child can handle then wait untill it comes out on DVD/VHS. Also, though I figured that they would raise the rating I did wonder wether or not this would have an effect on the box-office earnings. (Random thing for me to care about I know...) Well I can't wait until November 18th.

| its good that they gave it that rating because i think some of the scenes will definately scare the little fans. I'm babysitting a 6 yrs old and we were watching POA and he got scared of the dementor on the train. So its good the WB is giving the parents a heads up. |

| Everybody who's whining about making this movie PG-13 should stop. I mean, seriously. Live with it. And so what if you have to wait five months to see the movie on DVD? You wait two years between each book. Get some patience.
On another note, I'm glad that this one will be PG-13. I personally will enjoy the movie more, knowing that it's more geared towards people who aren't, like, eight years old. Because I'm 15. And I'm one of those people who kind of grew with Harry Potter. The first book came out when I was eight. So now that I've grown up, the books and the characters and the movies have, in turn, grown up.
Yay for growing up!! LoL

| Well, I saw that coming a long time ago. Especially for the 4th and 5th movie and now that the 6th book is now out I also expect that to be rated in the PG13 - R area. I do not have to worry about not being able to see these movie's but most of the time the Harry Potter movies are a family thing where the whole family goes to watch so if the parents want to take their kids to it even though it is PG13 then they can do that.
About the profit of the movie. I do not think that having the movie PG13 will drop the profit of the movie. Yet I don't exactly care about how much people make off the movie all I care about is that I want it to be out already so I can go see it. |

| I'm not surprised. I thought it was a little weird that it was going to be rated PG, while still including the grave seen. So, I'm glad it is. Its a chance that it may be a bit better. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Paige Stevens First | I don't have a problem with that. That just makes the movie more really. (I hope that makes sense.) Now, my 11 year old cousin is going to have a problem with that. |

| Thank God Portugal doesn't have those ratings. I mean, they do, but they never pay any attention to them, anyway.
And I'm glad it's rated PG-13. It means it's going to be a decent movie without all the "saccharine", as Ralph Fiennes said. |
