| | | GoF will be a PG-13 TV Guide reported yesterday that ' Goblet of Fire' would be given a PG-13 rating in the US due to sequences of fantasy violence and frightening images."
It has now been confirmed by WB that the fourth film will indeed have that rating.

All reviews so far have advised that little kids (3-6) shouldn't see this film and I'd be inclined to agree. I don't see the appeal for that age group any way.
But this just affirms how true they've been to the book. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Bekindi | Oh yay not so many little squirts in the cinema Maybe with that rating people wont be so quick to judge it just because it is a "childrens" story. |

| More than that. Two deaths, and Voldemort should look pretty freaky. The graveyard scene alone should be frightening to young kids. Voldemort coming out naked shouldn't matter. Partial nudity would be stated (and would be highly close to an R rating), so most likely it's implied rather than seen. Quote: |

| What for? There wasn't anything in the book to suggest an R rating. Neither HBP nor OotP. Quote: |

| No need to worry about that. PG-13 means that they suggest parental guidance for anyone under 13. Quote: |

| Well, at least in the books it's your imagination and you can make it however scary you choose. However, seeing it on the screen is the filmmakers imagination and thus would appear more scary. It's more... attainable then. Little kids would frigthen more easily seeing it rather than reading it... |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Pt Snow Seventh | Good Idea for the PG-13 rating,, I mean in the book it's kinda Violent. I can't imagine what's it's gonna look like. And I didn't think that they were going to do a 6th or 7th movie? |

| All PG-13 means is that they're trying to tell parents that the images are a bit worse, and that people should pay attention. This explains it a bit more. |

| i think it is a very good idea to make it PG-13. it would be harsh on little children to see a hand being cut and a snake-like terrorist to get back to life, etc. |

| By the way if it's a 12A then children under 12 can still go but with an adult (18+). |
