| | | GoF will be a PG-13 TV Guide reported yesterday that ' Goblet of Fire' would be given a PG-13 rating in the US due to sequences of fantasy violence and frightening images."
It has now been confirmed by WB that the fourth film will indeed have that rating.

Okay, so what are the conversions of UK ratings and US ratings?
I can't wait to see GoF ... I'm going to drag my roomies with me to see it lol.
Though, it may be PG13, there is no garuntee that there won't be annoying kids in it ... such a shame

Hrm, I don't think it would ever be rated R ... only because there is some pretty nasty stuff out with only PG13 ratings, not to mention I don't think that JKR would really let it get to that level.

lol i mabe a coment on this therd already but i need to say something else people r saying pg 13 is way to harsh but come on honestly i had to babysit these little kids who where like 7 yrs.old and i brought the first harry potter movie and they got scare at the part when harry burns proffesar Quirell with his hands. And then i got in trouble because those stupid little kids came running to there parents and crying! and then those kids told there parents that i scare them with harry potter and then the parents only pay me 5 $ when it was really they had to pay me 10$ they were annoyed with me and now i don't babysit with those kids anymore lol o well

LOL HA HA! THAT WOULD BE SOOOO FUNNY having a potter movie rated R lol its would be "the version u never seen or though of"! lol wait a example of a potter movie rated R lets use the 4 book has a example "Harry let the steam of the perfect bath unravel his robe slowly . His misty eyes reflecting the hot warm bubbly bath! he slowly slip in his body immersed in the bubbles his very thoughts were picturing Ginny joining him'! LOL HA I CRACK MYSELF UP! srry i been reading way to many Trashy romance novels and day time soaps that r so mellow dramtic but i love anyways. Somebody worte that they glad it was rated pg13 cuz no kiddies would be kicking there chair. I couldn't agree more stupid parent's who bring 3 year olds to potter flims grr. One time when i went to see harry potter and the philsoer stone i had to sit in the front row cuz the place was pack obviously. And through out this movie this fat kid who was like 5 or sumthing keept getting up and was like "excuse me coming through" this kid did this like 67 times i was like in my head WTF!!!!! then to top it all off some loser kiddie was kicking the back of my seat! so i turn around gave the brat a withering deadly stare and the kiddie still didn't get the message of quite kicking my chair loser and bugger of then at the moment the fat kid comes pushing through with a jumbo popcorn and block my view i was like in my head "wtf loser utoally should have got that popcorn before the movie don't u have common curtisy"!. So yah no stupid kiddies getting on my nerves and kicking my chair and getting in my way SO PARENT'S IF UR KID IS ANNOYING DO NOT I REAPEAT DO NOT DRAG THEM TO THIS FLIM CUZ I BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS FLIM SO BUGGER OFF KIDDIES!. wait maybe that statement was harsh wait of course it isnt! ok ok if ur kid is well behave and dosen't make noises or kicks or has a bladder problem and keeps getting up and down u can take them ok be aware they might wet themselves in fear LOL OMG I CARCK MYSELF UP LOL! so yah im so excidted. Anyways LOVE,ANGEL,MUSIC,BABY!!!

Thats brillant they are to make it pg-13 since it is a more violent feature and for more mature ages! I think they most likely would get to a higher rating once the seventh film is confirmed since they are more for older teens.... *Once again this is an opinion*

My friend and I were talking about that! I am OUTRAGED!! she went around talking about how it`s only because Harry will start snogging Cho and I got very offensive! We ended up aggreing about how much I hate Cho when my bf said: You spit on Cho and I said (angrily in Home room) No Dan spitz on Cho and I definately dont approve! (We started laughing behind our bookz and I waz reading 'Wuthering Hights' mind you!) Every1 waz staring @ us.. but we didnt care.. we laughed sooo hard we tear`ed up!!
DAN CAN ONLY SPIT ON ME.. (jk, jk, jk..)

It makes no difference to me, I'm 22. The higher the rating, the better, not so many annoying kids.

I don't think it will matter that much... as long as the parents make sure to talk to their kids about how the whole movie is just fantasy. Then again, this is the US and parents can be pretty dumb at times... at least in Southern California.

| Well I think they got a good rating for it. Since there is alot more bad stuff in this movie, then in the others.
