[img]http://www.snitchseeker.com/images/news/snitch_seeker_80.jpg' align='middle'> GoF Quidditch World Cup filming locations? - Eastbourne a possibility Summary:
According to various sources, locations have been revealed as to where the Quidditch World Cup in GoF will be filmed. Article: GoF Quidditch World Cup filming locations?
A Leaky Cauldron reader, Stacey, wrote of news of possible filming locations for scenes from the Quidditch World Cup in the Goblet of Fire film.
According to her newspaper (the article is not yet online - I'll update when it is), the scenes would be filmed near St. Bede's School in Eastbourne, near the seafront. Filming is scheduled to start in the autumn for one week.
The BBC has also reported this news, making it all the more reliable. Quote: A newspaper report says a cliff top site, near Beachy Head, is the first choice for Warner Brothers - location managers for The Goblet of Fire.
Eastbourne council denied the report, but said the company scouted the area and also three West Country locations.
A spokesman for the film company said locations were never confirmed until definite arrangements had been made. Beachy Head is mentioned by the BBC as a possibility too.
The area in mention is in the very southern parts of England; the Beachy Head website even mentions that the Isle of Wight can sometimes be seen from the coast.
Here are some pictures of the area;

| I thought the World Cup was supposed to be in the middle of a moor somewhere, not by the sea. Maybe they will keep the sea out of shot.

That first picture is pretty I wanna go there. It reminds me of the beaches in Panama... then sand part.
That should be good in the movie.

I thought that the World Cup was by a forest. Well, this will certainly be interesting to see...
Something I haven't imagined...

Absolutely breathtaking, very beautiful place. No matter where the scene is shot I do hope there are more on set reports and pics from people in the area, we are counting on you lot for feedback. :flowersmile:
I read somewhere that GoF is going to cost a lot more than the first three Harry Potter films. I know it's going to be a great movie with the World Cup and the Yule Ball and Harry facing Voldemort. Can't Wait!!!!! |

| | Guest | I think the locations is pretty. After the 3rd movie I have come to accept that things arent always going to look like Jk described them (ie Trelawneys room) or how i imagined them. I am sure it will still look awsome. we will see
