| | | GOF petition! A Petition for the GOF movie Summary:
I have started a petition for the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire about the movie being 2 1/2 hrs long.......
Warner Brothers has said that the 4th Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire would only be around 2 1/2 hr. (no longer then the first two, soon to be three). This movie should be at leaste 4 hrs long, but making it into a 2 1/2 hr. movie would mean alot of things would be cut from the book while being writen into the script, maybe even important things. Please veiw my site to read more about to petition and/or to sign it! Azkaban Prison |

Sorry, but I don't want to have to pay twice the money to see GoF in two parts. Personally, I don't think that what happens in-between the main storylines in this movie are all that important, and there's nothing they can do now, as they're already going to start shooting in September, this petition would've been useful about a year ago.

Great i'll sign that. There is just no way they can make GoF into just a 2 1/2 hour movie they would have to cut all sorts of things and that will be terrible.

The arnt starting to film in Sepember. They wou;d still be filming PoA then. There going to start filming next August. So, it is basically a year now. ANd if ur a true HP fan, u would pay that much money to see the movie.

but they SHOULD either make it longer, or do it in two parts. they would still get eveybody's money (^^^'cept this one over here^^^) there are WAY too meny important things in there to make it that short. I think we would all like it even MORE if they nade it longer, we would be able to have THAT much more time in harry's world. I think I am going to go sign now.

Calm down up there.
There is a lot in book 4 that could be cut and not ruin the story. Sure, there are plenty of scenes we all want to see, but they aren't all relevant to the story line. I don't think the movie well be absolutely ruined if it was cut down.

I think they start shooting just before PoA comes out. I read it somewhere, and it said something 'the actors won't be getting a long break' so yeah. And, I really don't care, well, I do care if they make GoF 2 1/2 hours long, as long as it's good and it's as close as possible to the book. They should include the stuff toward the end, the Triwizard Tournament (definitely this one) and other important stuff.

Although I think that the fourth movie should be longer, I don't think that a petition will help. I did the same thing once with another book series ~cough~ and I found out that online petitions are useless. There's really no way to tell the difference between about 5 people writing in and "signing" it with different names and 100 different people each "signing" their name. Thus, since there's no way to tell whether the petition is valid. . .
Maybe people could write in to WB or whatever themselves and start an e-mail campaign...

B/c there are things that could be taken off and not matter much like when they're eating at the burrow and certain conversations or harry's thoughts....it can be shorter than 4hrs ....though I dont mind seeing a 3 hr movie...
